We post an e-mail from a Republican--an independent-thinking Republican--Arlen Specter. He makes vital points for our times that relate to our ability and stamina in the fight against terrorism. Most importantly, he recognizes the need for a bipartisan approach. Congress is still polarized, and both sides of the aisle are to blame.
